Tea leaf reading is an ancient practice interpreting patterns made by tea leaves in the cup.

In addition to the reading of tea leaves, the tradition of tasseography or also known as tasseomancy, tassology, or tasseology.

Although tasseography or tasseomancy is commonly associated with Gypsy fortune tellers,  divination or a method that interprets patterns tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments.

 The tradition of tea leaf reading arises independently from Asia, the Middle East and Ancient Greece. Modern tasseography has also been associated with the Scottish, Irish and cultures throughout Eastern Europe.

 I think many of use of know o a grandmother or a auntie that has told you what you tea saying to you. It seems to be a art that lost with modern day convince of bagged tea hehe, what a joy.

What happenings during a tea leaf reading- you are asked to drink your tea; while thinking of a question or letting their mind be open to what comes – then maybe swirl the cup of tea afterward drinking it or not again this can be a personal thing for the person drinking to reader.  Then Turn the cup upside down and the reading has begun. 

The person reading the leaves will now turn the cup over and looks at the pattern in the tea leaves in the cup. These shapes are then interpreted, most readers use symbols that have been handed down. With that been said, we are also individuals and will see things in our own way and understand it in in our own individual ways.
